Once Upon A Time

there was a kangaroo who wanted to fly...
and a little rat who hid in the bushes all day.
Kangaroo put down his pouch and began practicing.
Boom! Boom! Little rat peeked out, watching and wondering what the kangaroo was doing.

Soon a man walked by. "What are you doing?"
"I'm trying to fly," Kangaroo responded.
"Well, then, perhaps you could take me on your back," the man suggested.
"Sure, hop on. If I fly, you're welcome to come along."

Little Rat watched as the man climbed onto the kangaroo's back,

and couldn't stop himself. He dashed out of the bushes as Kangaroo began practicing again.
"Please! Please! I so want to fly! May I come too?"
"Why not, " said the man, and the rat climbed up on his shoulder.

Kangaroo, the man and Little Rat tried and tried,
but each time they hopped, they came back to the ground.
