Several Years Later in a Distant Land

the monk walked down a road.

A rat jumped out from a doorway dressed in a dapper hat, a small vest, and beautiful slippers.
"Oh, Monk! How good it is to see you!
When you were with us years ago, the strangest thing happened!
Kangaroo took one hop and just kept going!
We had the most satisfying adventure!"

The man went
on to a golden world;
Kangaroo kept flying;

and I asked to be put down here. I wander and tell stories of wonderful lands where people and animals love and live, where all beings are respected, even me!
Oh, Monk! You missed such a wonderful ride!"

The monk smiled, gently patted Little Rat on the head,

and continued down the road.
